New Era, New Leaders
Nature loss impacts everyone but hits communities of color and frontline communities hardest. With 5 years to 2030, let's leverage the 30x30 conservation goal to prioritize and uplift those from the communities most affected, ensuring the nation’s path forward is just and equitable, regardless of November’s election outcome. In person, we will define an ethical path forward to close the gap to 30x30 and ensure the conservation movement is representative of communities across America.
Gather for Transformative Action
Join us in several days of joyful community and power building that culminates in an inclusively designed and clear plan for collective action starting on day 1 of the next Presidential administration to continue protecting land, water, wildlife, and ocean for communities across the nation.
A Landmark Convening for Conservation and Justice
There is no national level, multi-issue, intersectional conservation gathering with a focus on equity and shaping policy today in existence. The New Era, New Leaders conference fills this void by bringing together current and future leaders who believe the conservation movement must be a tool for justice. Rooted in place, convening in Puerto Rico offers a tremendous opportunity to learn from community leaders on the island who have shown leadership in conservation, social justice, and climate resilience. We are excited by the opportunity to gather, co-create, and hear from many voices and perspectives in October.
Achieving Our Twin Goals: 30x30 and Justice40
The America the Beautiful for All Coalition is working towards twin goals of (1) conserving at least 30% of U.S. lands, waters, and oceans by 30x30, and (2) applying a Justice40 metric to conservation policies to ensure at least 40% of investments are made in communities of color and frontline communities that have historically seen little to no investment in conservation and equitable access to nature. These are the largest conservation goals of the century, and they are currently being led by a coalition that looks and sounds like America. Join us to chart a path to close the nature gap for communities and close the gap to 30% by 2030.
